Who is Satellic?
In 2016, all heavy goods vehicles of over 3.5 tonnes driving on the Belgian roads, will have to pay an intelligent kilometer charge.
Satellic NV, set up in 2014, a Belgian joint venture between T-Systems and Strabag – two companies with extensive experience in road charging systems – is implementing and will operate the kilometer charging system for the next 12 years.
Department information and Job-title: In which department will you be working?
The department “Electronic Tolling Services” operates the OBU fleet and is responsible for the collection of the road charges from the OBU. Activities cover the management, monitoring and maintenance of the OBUs on the roads with remote tools to enable the Toll Collection Services to work accurately and with the necessary stability.
What your job will look like
The candidate will be responsible for the analysis of faulty OBUs and the effective provision of solutions by performing actions remotely on the OBUs. The candidate will support the department “Electronic Tolling Services” in the following areas:
The tasks of the candidate cover:
Perform “hands on” OBU Second Level Support
Analyse incidents regarding faulty OBUs and provide solutions for First Level Support (Customer Care)
Perform actions remotely on the OBUs for fault clearance
Trigger Third Level Support (OBU Development) if necessary and provide information on the technical status of the respective faulty OBUs
Provide structured help guides, decision trees and FAQs on OBU behaviour for First Level Support
Your profile:
Ideally: First experience in Second Level Support of IT products
2+ years of Technical Support activities, ideally Second Level Support for technical products
Graduated in Science, Engineering or a Degree in Computer Science
Analytical skills and structured approach to tackle technical issues
Endurance to deep-dive into technical issues and find a cause of failure
Very helpful: Experience with mobile components or products
Expected is a certain flexibility regarding job tasks as Satellic NV is a start up company which might still evolve to optimise operational activities.
Very experienced in operating PCs/Computers running on Unix/Linux
Fluent in English
Fluent in French and/or Dutch
